Did the post-holiday unpack and sort, listening to music on my shiney new little "Pebble" mp3 player my uncle gave me for Chrissie. Darn I missed quality sound. Tinny laptop speakers don't do Frou Frou justice.

So, with my room looking swell and space on my desk, I brought out the watercolours and christened my new moleskin notebook. Ever get a really nice journal or sketch book, and been too afraid to draw in it? I used to abandon my journals if I screwed up the first page, so it was with great apprehension that I set pencil to paper and made the first move. Didn't turn out too bad, actually. Looks like this journal's a keeper.

"No - like, complete and utter facial distortion."
Oh-yeah.
Hmm. Should really go for a run this afternoon - I didn't do any running at all on my holiday, so I've got a week's worth of festive treats stored that needs using up... :^D Maybe when it cools down tonight.
Later -
Ninja training log:
- ran leech valley loop (2.5km hilly trail)
- felt sick after one lap, and came home
In other news, I have a Red Bubble account now -

I like the portrait. The colours you've used are good together. I think you will progress to less worked technique as you get more colouring practice. I was thinking the same thing about the run. I don't know if I can be bothered starting again after such a long break. Maybe I could just become an unfit mummy? It isn't the heat stopping me. Just lack of interest.
