1) - this is the second mouse I've caught and freed in the last month. Just before dawn this time - we walked down the road to the usual site, "eeking" all the way. He wasn't stuck on by much, so he'd already managed to pull his front legs free as I finished greasing his back legs off the glue trap. Free, he sprang out of my glove and bounded away up the front yard of someone else's house. Not exactly where I'd planned to let him go, but oh well.


2) - that kookaburras laugh differently when they're eating something.
