--> birthday I: the phantom menace

-
In A Galaxy Far, Far Away...

(...to the tune of LOTR)

ACT ONE: Wind in the Sails

Half past seven sees Jac fall off the couch in the general direction of clothes, food and a shower. Quarter past eight sees first mate Ess join the entourage. Half past eight and Tea steals aboard; next we cast off for Faye. Nine thirty and the quartet is complete - now the festivities begin.

ACT TWO: Hunting for Buried Loot

Next stop, the op-shops, and a breeze through the fruit market. Much treasure was hauled home by all.

ACT THREE: To the Edge of the Earth

After a brief intermission of food and lying around like dying flies, we set out again, this time for the old man's. Next - having duly appreciated boats, dogs and grape juice - we set sail for the edge of the map, to tie up loose ends.

Roads that once growled with two-stroke are silent now.

A name made whole only in recollection.

Memories take Faye beyond the closed gates.

Four pairs of eyes travel over separate landscapes...

... but stand together on the same ground.

ACT FOUR: Cake and Inter-Galactic Battles

The weight of eighteen candles (though only ten were present) and several inches of icing rests heavy, yet the occasion is celebrated merrily.

The cake is not a lie. In fact, it is very good.

The Creator (of said delicious cake).

Making her eighteenth wish...

... may it come true, Faye.

With decadent slice of cake in hand, the screen fades into The Phantom Menace and we fade out for the night.
